2n BATXILLERAT QUARANTINE SPECIAL

RECUPERACIÓ 2nBAT

In this document you'll find the instructions for the take-up exam that will be held next Thursday 14th May. Please read it carefully and if there is any doubt please contact the teacher.

My dearest students, welcome to my humble wikispace.

Please, read THIS first.

As you know, we have taken 5 out of 6 exams (that's more than 80% of the course), so it wouldn't be too difficult to say the course is over. But… it is not. Here you'll find activities to do during quarantine and, while clear instructions are given, no much new will be given.

Things first first:

1. ZOOM Meetings

We'll have regular meetings following the timetable given by the school, and I thought these would be the most suitable: 2n BAT A: Every Tuesday from 9:00 to 9:30. The code for the meeting is 677-040-193. 2n BAT B: Every Tuesday from 12 to 12:30. The code for the meeting is 243-434-790. To access the meetings, use the password sergi. Pretty original, isn't it?

As you can see, I thought 30' will be enough to make things clear. If they're not, we'll find more time, don't worry.

And please contact me anytime at spinol@iescanpuig.com or spinol2@xtec.cat .

Apparently, there are some safety issues when you access Zoom from a Windows environment. Make sure you enter with a password-protected user name to make everything safer.

2. PAU

Apparently, all official channels say PAU are on their way next July. So you'd better practice. Here you've got a link to the official assessment criteria (how much does everything count). And here you can download a document a much better teacher than me wrote a few years ago on how to prepare your writings. In brief, writing types are: - A for and against essay (or discussion essay) - An opinion essay - A narrative - A description of a place or of an event - A formal letter or email - An informal letter or email - An article - And also: a summary, a speech and a dialogue. Also, by clicking on this link you will find tests from previous years, all with key and audio file. Do them! Lots of them!

3. DOWNLOADABLE MATERIAL

Here you've got a link with downloadable material from your student's book (extra exam practice not available in your student's book). So practice, especially those that haven't passed the previous terms (or see clearly they're not going to pass the course and will have to take a re-sit exam.)

And here there are loads more of downloadable material from the student's book (obvioulsy different from the link above). Here are practice revision sheets, etc.
