WEEK 5: 11th - 17th May

Hi! I hope you're all fine!

This week, we're going to do the last activity of unit 5 and it will be different from previous weeks.

You only have to do ONE task. You're going to make a comparison review VIDEO.

You have to record a VIDEO COMPARING TWO different games, films, TV series… (el que vulgueu).

Recordeu el text que vam llegir la setmana passada sobre tres game apps a la pàgina 68?? Doncs haureu de fer una cosa semblant - un vídeo comparant dues coses, poden ser jocs, pel·lícules, sèries… You can use the text on page 68 as a model.

  • Instructions:
    • Durada del vídeo: 2 minuts
    • Information to include in the video:
      1. 1st part - Introduction: description of the two things (TV series, films, games…)
      2. 2nd part - Comparison: compare the two things
      3. 3rd part - Conclusion: which thing is your favourite and why (do you recommend it?)
      4. Use the words from last week (extremely, really, very, quite)
      5. Use comparative adjectives. For example: this TV series is more / less interesting than… because…)

HOW TO COMPARE??

MÉS …. QUE:

  • SHORT ADJECTIVES (1 SYLLABLE): adjective + -ER + THAN
    • Example: Titanic is LONGER THAN Bambi.
  • LONG ADJECTIVES (+ 1 SYLLABLE): MORE + adjective + THAN
    • Example: La casa de papel is MORE ENTERTAINING THAN Las chicas del cable.

MENYS …. QUE:

  • LESS + adjective + THAN
    • Example: The Game of the Goose (La Oca) is less fun than Ludo (Parxís).
